This is one of those things where that BMW arrogance got in the way of good common sense [and math].
It does not matter what diameter your wheels are [assuming they clear all your suspension and brake bits], and no factory or accessory wheel is "aggressive" enough in it's offset, backspacing, or width, to induce any sort of rubbing whatsoever as long as you use factory or accessory tire sizes. If you're running 18's, this means 205/40-18 with a 7" wheel in the range of 48-52mm offset. There is no bleeping reason to have steering angle limiters. BMW is not always right, and this is a perfect example of that. [Also, take a look at the new 7 series, OMG it's horrible looking!]
