Yes, on the MCS the all seasons are runflats too.

Only 15's on the MC come with non-runflats.

We got the 16" wheels w/ Conti all-seasons since we were taking delivery in the winter, ended up keeping the tires when swapping over the wheels, they're really quite decent (but will be replaced w/ regular tires as soon as they're worn out).

Tennessee Cutty, it looks from your sig you opted for the 16" rims. Any rim larger than 15" comes with runflats.

I agree I wound up with these tires as well, and was pleasantly surprised, they are very good, none of the common complaints I see people have with run flats. I was going to change them out, but considering the price and added security I might just keep them.

To revive a thread rather than creating a new one, what are people getting for newer MCSs? We got our 2010 with 17" wheels, and we ordered the All Season, but it came with Pirelli PZero RFTs which do not strike me as All Season. Dealer says the perfomance is a Dunlop and the Pirelli is the AS, but I am not so sure. Others?

Thanks.

Brian.

16" Conti's w/ the sport package.

best thing about the conti's is that they are not directional tires. (not sure about the other OEM tires)

Sport package with the Conti Runflats. Will replace with the tires I have had on 2 other cars including my R53 which are Bridgestone G019 Grids. You will not find a better overall tire for the price guaranteed. 26k miles on my R53 and they still passed inspection and have 1/3 tread left. That is amazing on a MINI

Goodyear Excellence Run-flats, which I replaced with G019 Grids when they wore. Too Lazy, the Goodyears are asymmetrical.

That's good to know Xyclone - how do you like your G 019 Grids? I've had mine for 4200 miles and love them so far.

I really like them. They wear half as fast as the Goodyears, but they are all-seasons so that is expected. Going from RF's to non-RF's made me realize the height of my sidewall a bit more in terms of turn-in response, but it's nothing major. In conclusion, they are a great value; the best bang for the buck I could find.

I am wondering if I should go the summer tire route next time, but having a 195/55 tire size really limits the options. I better start saving for new wheels.

It seriously does not get any better than the G019 Grid Bridgestones for all season tires. As for what MINI will put on the new cars is always a mystery, even to the dealers because they switch all the time.

Your Pirelli PZero RFT is a maximum performance summer tire, not an all season tire. I am using the 18" version of that tire on my MCS.

You can find more info on that tire here:

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....odel=PZero+RFT

Be careful with those tires during the winter. Definitely do not use those tires on icy or snowy roads!
