1966 Ford Mustang 289 8 cyl, Emberglow, all factory options, AT, AC, Pony Interior and Styled Steel wheels
Toyota 2wd pickup (forget year)
1999 4WD Nissan extended cab pickup
2002 Ford F-150 4WD pickup
2005 Ford Mustang Coup 6 cyl
2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser 4WD (my favorite vehicle to date)
I've got heartache about selling the FJ. The MPG is just too bad though, and I wanted a cooper so it's for sale. It's loaded and unlike many I actually take it offroad. I've been to official Toyota offroad events and had their professional drivers ride along with me. Extremely fun.
On to the cooper....

Former RWD junkie
My first car ever was a 1991 Miata. Replaced it with my 2008 MC last month. Loved it a lot but could use the cash so I told my brother to sell it for me a couple of weeks ago...funny enough he says he's not getting much interest but seems intent on driving it all summer to help sell it...right...

Just passed the 1,200 mile break-in period on my 08 MCSa today! So far my Mini has been great. I do a lot of driving so my Mini is going to rack up the miles. My previous cars were:
2005 350Z
- Fast, fun, reliable car, but harsh ride for commuting. Miss the exhaust note and RWD handling, but not much else. Traded it in @ 60K miles.
1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-T
- My 2nd GS-T. Fun car too. Sold it with 120K miles on it.
1990 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-T
- In a way, this was the MCS of its time-- reasonably priced, FWD turbo. Sold it with 143K miles on it.
1984 Nissan Pulsar NX
- Complete with factory "NX" decals! It was a POS and seemed to lose power as it aged. C'mon-- everyone has a first car! Sold it with 70K miles on it.
My Mini is the first automatic car I've owned. I enjoy stick, but my 54 mile commute through the SoCal freeway system has taken its toll on me. Driving the MCSa is like a breath of fresh air!

Well immediately before the MINI, if that's the question, a Toyota 4Runner Limited. Sold it because I saw gas increases coming and was not planning on driving much. It got about 18 to a gallon, that is not good in my mind.
But took a teaching job at a University and had to get a car for the commute. 70 miles RT 2 x week. Wanted something that would give me 30 MPG+ Was gonna be the Prius or the MINI. Chose MINI because it has a cool factor whereas the Prius was simply a car with great MPG.

well i had a nissan xterra when i got my 04 mcs and i traded it in for a 06 honda civic . i hated that honda , after driving a mcs it felt like i died a lil inside. so i traded it in for my 07 mcs and i am alive inside again . but i have had a few trucks as well , i had two chevy s-10 , one s-10 blazer, one ford ranger edge ( this truck was dangerous and almost killed me twice hydroplaning), one chevy camero, one ford excursion( huge truck and a even bigger fuel tank, 44 gal). my next ride will be a factory jcw next year. i love my mini and i have a fist full of man cards. get some.

I loved it. With 49,976, I planned to buy the extended warranty, but always liked the Mini. So I put it on Auto Trader and with 24 miles left on the 4 yr/50k, I sold her.
My "justacoop" docks in Canada today, then in GA on 7/15, and hopefully in my garage a week later
Night Fire Red, Chrome ext/in, Prem/Conven Packages, Gray/Blk Leatherette Sport Seats, DSC, Stick

not anymore ...hence the new Mini. And here is what i have discovered over the years: The cost and anxiety (of dings and scratches) that come with owning a high end vehicle can off-set the enjoyment of the vehicle. The fact that the MCS is so much fun, so well designed and engineered, gets such great gas mileage and only cost 25k increases the fun factor big time. Don't get me wrong, 25-30k is not peanuts, but it is a far cry from what a car enthusiast could spend on a dream car.
