Pic request - Leatherette seats, Piano Black
I'm looking for a pic of an interior with the leatherette seats and piano black interior surface. Does not selecting a color line leave you with black? I'm looking for a dark interior that matches without having to pay $1500 for leather.
Also, I just wanted to verify that selecting piano black makes the large, oval-shaped ring on the door black.
Thanks!

I am planning to order my car quite the same, i am in a budget too and cant justify $1500 for leather. Here is a pic i found of a fellow member.Mine would be the same + Chrome Line.Of course with leather would be much nicer, but still i think leatherette is nice.
Hope i help, i too would like to see other pictures, this is the only one i could find.Theses are the stock gray/black seats i believe, though in the picture i see a blueish hint.

I have ordered the piano black interior surfaces w/ the leatherette standard MINI S sport seats. I believe the door ring is black, as well as the dashboard surfaces.

Nice, I think that's what I want. If you happen to take some better quality pics I won't complain. :P

just make sure you get the anthracite headliner to finish the look, I get nothing but compliments on the interior and everyone assumes the seats are real leather. I wouldn't swap it for any of the other options even if they'd been free.
I also added a black 8-ball shift **** from Whalen to finish the interior off.

FYI:
I have this combo. I love the way it looks HOWEVER,
If I were to order my car. (I found mine at a dealership) I wold think twice about the piano black because of the smearing and fingerprints that linger on it. I am not a total neat freak but still find myself keeping cloth in my car to wipe the doors and dash down many times per week. It is quick and no biggy, but, this finish really shows everything... Just wish someone would have told me that. Good luck.
But, I do love the way it looks.

At any rate, I think it'd be worth keeping a microfiber cloth somewhere and wiping it down. I'd much prefer an all dark interior to one that's part black and part silver.

Actually, The dash will always have some on it when you use the "secret compartment" or the even the regular glove box.
I see it on the doors mostly. I would have to say. The look may be worth the wipe.....
I love it. I do know that if I had the brushed silver or something it would not have this finger smudge effect.
Just keep a towel in the car. No biggy. Sorry to scare you off... Great look but.....

I had a car with a piano black trim for 4 years and think I remember getting sick of it. But it wasn't quite as pronounced as the Mini's. I honestly like both the black and the stock silver. Also what you'll notice with the black is that it tends to have almost like "scratch" lines in it... kind of like swirl marks you get on black paint. It becomes more noticeable as you get used to it. I'm definitely not picky enough to require cleaning it, I just clean it when I clean the interior every once in a while.
