Hi All..
I have a red 2008 MCS and just got white stripes in the mail 6"X1yard. I was wondering how they look if I have the stripes outline a dragon shape within the 6" inches wide exposing the red back ground for the dragon shapes. I hope some one understands what I mean and can help me with photoshop like
the ones you guys did with the "home made checkers on the pilars".

I want to visualize it first before actually putting it on. Imagine, 6 inches wide white stripes, within the white stripes, there's some sort of a dragon shape cut out, exposing the dragon shape with the actual red paint color of the car.

 

Are these the sport stripes from MINI?

Is the dragon going to go across both stripes with a gap in the middle?

What dragon are you going to use, a Welsh dragon?

Whether it looks good are horrible is going to depend on the dragon design and the craftsmanship of the cutting.

 

These white stripes are 3rd party and they are sport stripes with 2 tiny lines on both side of each. The d[IMG]file:///C:/DOCUME%7E1/DAPOOH%7E1.DAP/LOCALS%7E1/Temp/moz-screenshot.jpg[/IMG]ragon will be cut on both stripes, carfmanship is good...but if they don't come out then I won't put them on...it costs only 30 bucks. ps. will be re-draw to stretch out to the length of the stripes.

 

I think it will also depend on your tastes. It may not look exactly like you envision so if you are going to an auto trim shop to have them put this on for you, ask them if they can put it on a computer first for you to see. Most places that I have talked to about decal work like this have been glad to work up the decals for my car on a PC and show me what it would look like. You do pay quite a bit to have this kind of work done on your car, you deserve to be happy with it, rather than be an experiment.

 

So, one dragon across both stripes, or two dragons (one on each stripe)?

Are you going to place the eye separately, or will it be eyeless?

Can't say I'm crazy about that dragon. It kind of has a ricer look to it.

 

There's a guy that's very good with blade, hand draw and hand cut every thing. One dragon on each stripe, the eye will be replace with some thing that he has nothing in mind yet.

I think I'll let him draw red ink on stripes first before cutting and lay both stripes on the hood.
