Great shoot out between Jezza and Sabine in R56 JCWs. Both a wacky autocross obstacle course and head-to-head track race. I think you can guess who won, but fun anyway. The whole UK vs Germany segment was actually quite good.
:( I miss that show, use to be on my on demand everytime a new show came on but they took it off, now I got to find it on bbc america. Were can you watch that show online?

This season was disappointing after the awesome seasons 9 and 10, but this last episode was the the best of the 'series' (why they call them 'series' instead of seasons is beyond me... one of those British quirks). It didn't hurt that there were MINIs featured.
I'm fairly certain that they were both MINI Cooper S models with the JCW Performance Kit installed, and not factory MINI JCWs. Sabine's had the JCW aero kit installed as well.

There was still some great moments this season, but it didn't seem as 'epic' as other seasons, although I did enjoy the bullet train race...
And we call it a "series" because that's what it is!

Yeah, the bullet train race was excellent.

It's just one of those semantic differences between North America and the U.K. Over here, a 'series' refers to all episodes of a particular show from all years (i.e. a television series), whereas a season refers to all episodes of a particular, well, season. The first time I watched a full season of Top Gear, and at the end of the episode Jeremy said "Well, that's the end of the episode and, indeed, the end of the series!", I just about had a heart attack. When a series reaches its end over here it isn't coming back next season.
it was definatly an unfair race being that it was between an S and a JCW, but I was suprised at how well the S hung with the JCW.
look very closely, i didn't catch it at first but look at a high res picture and you will see they are both works car (the only indication on jeremy's car is only on the grille)
sabine just had more toys i think, like the awesome recaro CS

That was just unfair pitting a stubborn old man against someone with racing experience The real impressive part was the STIG at the end there. Catching up to a touring car driver that fast.

as much as i love the stig and that show... you have to admit some of it is staged... in the event that that race wasnt... good for the stig.
