battery icon shows up on dash today??!!

i was driving on the freeway at 55 MPH and i hear a ding and see a battery icon pop up on my dash. my car has 23,000 miles and is 1 1/2 years old. icon evetually went away and car drove fine. i drove another 15 miles to the mall, car started right up and i drove 25 miles home, no issues. anybody know what this could mean? maybe a false warning?

Mine surprised me with a nearly dead (wouldn't turn starter) battery within my first month, no clue why,
trickle charged and has been fine for two months.

At least, pop cover at passenger side of engine firewall, may need a little flashlight, but check for a green reflection in condition 'eye',
black indicates low battery.

While you are in there, check for corroded or loose connectors.

Is that the battery icon for the car battery or the battery in your comfort access keyfob?

don't know, thats a very good question. my car started up right away this morning. i also checked the battery itself and the indicator looks green to me. of interest to your comment..the "chrome" ring recently broke off my key FON a few days ago, would this affect the key battery or battery reading?
