Stupid Heated Seat Buttons

How do you put a heated seat button in front of the cup holder?

I put a cold drink in the cup holder and my behind gets toasted.

You should get it fixed then. It should propel the car at the fastest speeds, for the least revs. Now 5th is a bit superfluous, unless you're racing around at 120+.

it seems like every has a the same complaints, for the most part. Glad to hear that everyone has something in common. j/k -- I'm glad to hear that there are such few things incorrect with the mini coopers.

4. Lack of the chrono-Pack option liek on the R53.
5. Being punished by BMW for not ordering a Rear Fog light. Gets my panties in bunch when I see the blank toggle. Just put it in even if it doesn;t do anything [like the hood scoop]
6. The GONG. although it is better than the GM chime.
7. Runflats. Just icky.

Even with all that said. It is the best car I have ever owned. Oh and for those of you [and there are a lot out there] that hate the radio volume dial position, it is really there for a particular reason. If you notice it is almost perfectly lined up with you hand on the shifter so you don;t have to fumble about trying to find the ****. Agreed it looks odd but it does have a reason for being there.

The car is great, but correct me if I'm wrong, the seatbelts are sometimes the biggest pain the world to pull out? anybody else have that issue or am I going to look really stupid? besides that, the car is absolute perfection.

May have been mentioned already, but there is a 'slider' on the belt, between the floor fixture and the attaching buckel and it should be slid up the belt to hold the attaching buckel up near the retraction reel. You will see an 'indent' in the pillar that is designed to allow an unused seatbelt buckel to avoid rattling against the door pillar.

This keeps buckel from getting caught in door or armrest and as it is what falls to hand when you go to buckle your seatbelt, it works a lot more smoothly and easily.

Try it ~ you will like it

I dont like how the car wont unlock when you shut her off.
I miss the feature my other car had with the head light sensors. It would turn on the brights on automatically.
Dont like how I cant adjust seat bottom (tilting it,rise front and lower back)

I still really like the car

Only time I have seen that is in the menu to set default volume (as well as balance, fade, bass & treble) for Tuner, DC, Aux and Chime.
This will allow individual presets for each of those modes.

From there, it is clockwise to increase with **** {or (+) on MFSW} and if your turning CD up to overpower that seatbelt chime you are trying to ignore, it will increase volume for both

This is just the way it is on R56's if you have autolock enabled, no auto-unlock available.

Totally agree on seat tilt, you do get a small amount of tilt with the raise/lower pump. When I 'customised' my seating,
I did raise the forward ends of my seat rails about ½ inch but that is fixed and overdoing that might bend the rails.

Default volume? Are you referring to the speed compensation gain?

I guess the seat belt releases are not as bad as the Boeing 747-400 you get to fly to the land down under

2. I hate 6th gear. It does absolutely nothing.
6th gear will use less engine revs (especially on the freeway) than 5th gear, and thus save you gas. 6th gear is so you can get high gas mileage.

i would like the car also to unlock when you pop the key fob out. the one touch sunroof, both ways... and some software upgrades to the computer and the audio controls, while using a USB or MP3 cd especially a decicated button that brings you back to the list of the current music you are listening to insted of haveing to go back thru the directory find the album and then find the song its currently on, Have it show the instant fuel comsumption in the radio control screen too and maybe just pair it with the average one. and jeez whats up with the abbreviations when they have all that screen realestate. And have the Phone button on the radio GO to the phone menu! not dial the last person you called! maybe have it so that the steering wheel one does but not the one on the dash. why have two buttons that do the same thing? and im not talking about the radio controls those are fine. but i've never pushed the phone button on the radio. why when you have it on the steering wheel?
oh and the biggest thing that came as a shock to me is that MINI DIDNT PUT A G' METER IN THE CAR?!?!?!?! WHAT??? That Is such a mini thing!! i think they even ran an fake ad before for one you put on the grab handles or something but i cant find it. our cars are all about whiptastic handling and sweeping through the corners! they should have put a performance computer in the car. to show G's 0-60, 1/4 mile times and other stuff. i mean for crying out loud a chrysler 300 SRT8 and the Cadillac CTS V have them..

It's geared too close to 5th IMO, that's my gripe.

Or how about a single **** that controls everything, like in every other car

5th gear is the REAL useless gear. I almost always go 4th to 6th.

No way the MCS needs 6 speeds. 5 would be plenty, 4 would even be ok with me. I would really like 6th to reduce engine speed another 500 rpm or so.

1) reliability... less than 3 months of ownership and in dealer 3+ weeks...
2) the joystick control for the navigation is non-intuitive...I have to use voice commands most of the time.
3) Didn't like the plastic door pulls... Corrected this one with aftermarket leather covers...
4) No Temp gadge... come to think about it oil pressure would be nice also...
5) No LSD or JCW on automatic...
6) TPS should show pressure... There are too many idiot light things and not enough real data on this car...
7) Sunroof shade... Though much better with 5% tint on the roof.
