R56 HELP NEED CHEAP AUTO TRANSPORT

Why not drive it yourself it's only 1800 or so miles. Even pacing yourself it's 3 days tops... Sounds like a fun road trip.... Remember if you don't have a clear bra on the car, just cover it in blue painters tape and drive on...
Personally I can't think of a more fun way to pickup a car....

Have you 'googled' it?
When I did a few years back I found a site where I entered my info and got bids from several companies. That's the good news.
The bad news is back then a 'good' price for a small car cross country was $900 .... or at least from what I found. (I did Miata from Miami to San Fran)
There are agencies that 'arrange' drivers for car transportation - my grand father did it as a side line for years - but if you want to save the miles and use a truck I'd guess that $800 plus is gonna be the ball park.....
And for what it is worth as far as saving wear and tear:
Due to the way it was tied down I needed an alignment after delivery.
Can't comment on tie down cuz a one vehicle tow truck picked it up and later it transferred to a long haul truck - I never saw the long haul tie down
I sat on the top and the front of the truck .... I had as many rock and bug pits as if I'd driven myself. (closed trucks cost more $$)
I did it cuz I didn't have the time and the company picked up the cost....but what did I save? When I came back east, I drove it....but I had lots of time....no need to rush.....lots of stops. Saw the worlds largest ball of string.

I don't think you want someone else driving your baby back...
Do you need a co-pilot?
What kind of MINI are we talking about?
Google says it take 27 hours from Tempe to Atlanta so you can do it on your days off.

I live minutes away from Tempe. If you need someone to take any pictures or anything drop me a PM. FWIW I just had a classic mini shipped from AZ to CA but the shipper only ships between those states. Go online and fill out quote requests for auto transport companies. You'll find $800 is not bad...

I had a '72 BMW 3.0cs delivered from Oregon to NY.
It arrived on a cold rainy night. When I checked out the car the next morning it looked like the guy left the seat belt hanging out the door for the 3000 mile trip. The drivers side was all dinged up.
The seller claimed it was perfect when it left, the driver said it was that way when picked up.
$1500 worth of damage and I had no recourse except to sue, and I would have had to do it from where the Company was located in Nevada.
Well I just chalked it up to a life experience. I would never do it again.
Go out and get your car.

"Cheap" & "Auto Transport" are two words that never go together.
Expect to pay around $1000 (maybe more now with gas prices) if you want your MINI to be safe, and arrive with no damage.
If you want the best of the best, I'd HIGHLY recommend Intercity Lines.
They shipped my MINI from Texas to Mass for $1400.
