My Sales Rep is a total idiot!!!

I have a stupid sales rep that completely screwed up the order and now im stuck with a silver fluid dashboard (looks like those on the cooper. I have a cooper S) instead of the scratched aluminum finish and underneath the dash I ordered it in red and he decides to put graphite grey! I told him this is not how I ordered it but my mom said its good enough and signed the papers!!! I'm pissed!!!

Hold on, let me understand this correctly. Your mom signed the papers buying a car for you and you are irritated. A new car? You didn't have to pay for it?

Interesting

Chill.

My rep did something similar with my car. I ordered silver dash and I got the default alloy patina.

I noticed the faux pas when I stopped by the dealer to check out the car right after it was off loaded from the truck. This was before the car was prepped and the paperwork started. I brought it up with my rep and he started to play dumb. So I showed him my copy of the order with the silver dash on the list. Everyting was checked off except the silver dash .

IMHO it was something minor so I asked for some freebees. So I got half off the clear bra.

But if it was something major like forgetting the HID headlights or the Harmon Kardon stereo, I would not accept the car and won't sign any papers.

I can't believe there are MA's that get away with these kinds of ordering errors...... My MA made sure about 5 times over 2 month's time. Your MA sucks!

I also did not get the aluminum dash I ordered and instead ended up with the standard silver/checker pattern. It is really surprising that they can't switch it out after it's built. I was pretty disappointed, but my MA asked me if there were any accessories that I wanted to make up for it. I asked for the JCW shift light and got it. She still felt bad and gave me the Cooper S rubber boot mat too. I got cloth seats and actually really like the standard checker pattern since it matches the seats. All's well that ends well.

I'd take the order sheet back and tell them to make it right, regardless of what was signed. You ordered a certain thing.

What on earth does that have to do with it? While it is excellent the poster is getting a car, it's not what they ordered. Where the $$$ for the car is coming from is completely irrelevant to the fact that the order was either fulfilled correctly or not.

I'm sure the poster isn't pissed with Mom, but rather the MA (this is based on the subject of the topic).

id take a pink dash with purple glitter if the car was free...but mistakes happen, no need to get angry with the rep. did they refuse to fix it? doubt it, your mom signed so they assumed it was a done deal

I'm willing to bet the dash could be changed, the problem probably is the dealer would probably have to order the aluminum dash from the UK. I say it can be changed because the white and black checkered dash is a dealer installed option. If the dealer can change to the checkered dash, they can change any dash.
