Hmmm, about my next MINI...

I can't believe it's been three quick months and 5,270 miles driving around with this goofy grin on my face. I've had an absolute ball with my new 08 MCS. Like the time my golf buddy wanted a quick drive around the parking lot at the golf club just to see if his wife would maybe like one. When I hit 65-70 in 2nd and had to lean on the brakes a little hard to whoa her up in time because the main street was coming up kinda fast...oh how I laughed! My buddy I think wet his pants a bit and was quite speachless as he dismounted. The strange thing is when it's late at night and the wife's just sleeping away I find myself lying in bed thinking about what color, interior ect. to get for my next MINI. I mean it has been 3 long months now, poor thing is almost worn out. Isn't it funny how 175 hp was plenty of umph when you first drove it, and now you find yourself saying "man I bet 208 hp would be even more fun". How many of you have turned around and bought another MINI the very next production year just for the fun of the hunt? Has the JCW upgrade been calling to you late at night? Maybe a Pepper White with black roof and bonnet stripes...

Great post! I feel the same way after 2700 miles and two months. I just love this car! And Pepper White/Black w/bonnet stripes is a good idea! (See my sig)

As a public service, I think you need to go over and cheer-up this guy a bit:

Not me...I get very attached to my MINIs. About the only thing that would budge me out of my current MINI would be if a new model came out that was cleaner and w/ much higher mpgs. As it is, they just so happened to issue my present car in something very close to my all-time favorite Mini color, and since it gets over 40 mpg, I couldn't be happier. I'm also one of those crazies who prefer motoring in a Cooper, so more hp isn't a draw.

I know the feeling. It's only been a little over a month and I'm at 3300 miles, and I just can't get enough. I keep thinking about upgrades, and now that the JCW kit is available for the auto, oh ho ho, I know what I'm saving for.
