R56 Help Me Decide: BRG Versus Lightning Blue
#27
Look at cars, not photos!
Hope that you get to see the actual cars in the various colors before you decide.
My first visit to a MINI Dealer was mainly to see and sit in the various interiors and that was worthwhile.
I had decided on a blue/white, but upon seeing the cars (back in April, Dealer had over 60 cars to see) blue was no longer a consideration.
Absolutely never thought I would like a Yellow car, until I saw my MY/B MINI and my second choice would have been PW/B

edit: Just between the choice that the OP asked about, I think the MINI looks better in BRG than LB (and Blue is my favorite color ),
but can't stress enough;
the importance of looking at all ten color options available before making such an important selection, look at B and BC Roof as well.

Well,
I think I've almost narrowed it down to the BRG. I'd love to be able to check out the colors in person, as Pilotart recommended, but my local dealer is down to the bare minimum of stock. They have a my/black and a cr/white cooper, a couple of clubman's in similiar colors, and a red jcw. So, I'm gonna have to go off of pics.
Who knows, I may say screw it, go with my original choice of Oxygen blue, and get the sport suspension instead!
Thanks for all of the input!

Oxygen Blue, believe it or not, is also a very traditional color and is similar to classic Island Blue found on the original Mini. MINI designers themselves admit to also drawing inspiration from 70s era Porsche race cars.
That said, BRG is very nice...you will enjoy it!!

Just kidding, I had to work on my wife too. It took a lot of convincing, and a surprise viewing of "The Italian Job" to convince her. (I had no idea there were mini's in this movie.)
BRG was actually her request. I wanted MY/B. I almost got the redwood leather with the BRG, but it just looked too orange in person. If it was more brown I would have done it.

Thank you for posting your pics. I am planning to place my order next week, and that is my car, down to the wood wheel and anthracite.
I think the BRG/BRG is nicely understated, and the Tuscan looks so great with it. Although I think stripes look really good with the white roof, I still prefer the allover one color look.
Don't mean to hijack the thread, but I have to ask how you like the wood wheel, and also if you have used the lumbar yet. Thanks in advance.
Back to the topic, my vote is for BRG.
