I will be taking pictures of my long drive home from the midwest to Seattle,WA and will post my pics ASAP!

I thought I felt a disturbance in the force this morning .

Good luck and happy motoring, don;t let all those corn and soy bean fields drive you too nuts.

You are strong in the force, geekswrath.

But, hey, now! That's home to some of us...formatively speaking, at least.

Remember: No speeding tickets. Don't want any bad karma to start the new ownership.

Why an 08 when the 09 are on the loading dock?

Just curious.

Good luck with yours, may it be a good one.

I ordered mine prior to '09s being released AND I didnt have to pay the markup price for the '09....no big deal really.

I picked it up on Sept.13th in Oklahoma City,OK. Jackie Cooper Mini was really easy to deal with. My parents live in OKC so I was going home to visit them anyway, so bought the car there and I am SOOOOOO looking forward to my drive through the Rockie Mountains.

So far, I only have one problem, minor actually. I found a very slight dent in the drivers side rear quarter panel that the dealership is paying for to have removed with paintless dent repair. It is very difficult to see, but I know its there. No one else seems to even see it...so thats a good thing. Mechanically, it operates flawlessly and I am getting 36.5 miles to the gallon highway/city mix driving WITH air conditioning running!!!! I am stoked! Anyhoo, here are a few pictures taken out @ my parents ranch.... More pics of my travels home to follow!

I was supposed to get Bridgespoke wheels with summer performance tires. However, my car had the S Winder wheels with All Season tires. I am actually ok with that seeing that the moment I get back to Seattle I am replacing them with RotaRB Royal black wheels and Bridgestone RE050 Pole Position tires....woohoo!

Nice car too.... lol. (making comment how beautiful the land looks)

Congrats on the new car. Don't sweat the dent, just have a good PDR remove it and the world will be normal again.

You'll LOVE your car, have a GREAT and SAFE drive....

I am not sure about those wheels, they look cheap. You should get the official MINI ones... or just stick with the ones that came along with the car.

Great looking car and great looking wheels. Nothing cheap about those wheels they are the same style wheels as on the original mini. They are easily 6 lbs. lighter than the stock wheels too. I got the 16" version on my car and I love em.

Rota RB's may not be my first choice on a mini but I don't think they look cheap.

Great looking car.

Threads like this always remind me how far the auto manufacturers have come in terms of build tolerance and metallurgy. There was a time in the not-too-distant past when driving a brand-new car off the lot and immediately embarking on a multi-thousand mile cross-country highway trip would have done unspeakable things to the engine.

I still can't get over your parent's lawn pictured up ^^^^^ there. What a beaut. Wish we could grow some real grass here in Florida.

Oh....the car is pretty sweet also.

A real blast....loved it! I didnt take pictures like I had planned...just enjoyed the drive. The best moments were going over passes in the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. That is the only time I noticed significant turbo lag, but once kicked in, it just flew right up the mountains with little effort.
