I'm surprised no one has mentioned the lack of a temperature gauge. That is my biggest gripe along w/ the lack of control over the intermittent wipers. It's only 1 speed and speeds up / slows down on your speed but nevertheless doesn't function like you wish it would.
Also the blind spots in this car take some getting used to b/c it has such small mirrors.
Don't get me wrong - I love my car but it can certainly be improved.

I would agree that it should have been included (along with other engine gauges) but since it wasn't;
Click {HERE} for larger image and {HERE} for ScanGauge Website.
Besides the dozen or more engine parameters that can be on continous display,
there are many other features as well, like a 'Trip-Log' and reading/re-setting engine 'codes'.

Good for you. I guess that since you're not feeling it, I must be making it all up. The car is perfect. Carry on.

Ok, new idea. Sorry to be a pain but I intend to keep this car a long time so I want to get the right one. Now I'm thinking about the factory JCW. I noticed on the published power curves that full tourque comes in a little later on the JCWs due to the bigger turbo. Is it noticable? I intend to do some autoslalom and lag is a killer...
Thanks in advance.

Mine is also smooth, sport or not and I find Toyotas seem 'jumpy' to me.

After obsessing about the details for 48 hrs or so (and I'm sure I'm not the first one on here to do such a thing) I ordered a 2009 JCW in Dark Silver with black roof and black hood stripes. Unfortunately, I'm in for March production which means the car isn't scheduled for delivery until June. =( Hope I made the right choice!

Good thing you found NAM, 6 months is a long wait (no way to sugar coat it). However the wait will definitely be worth it

Well, You did it!!!!
Hi Perihelion,
Welcome to the group. I'm sure you will be on pins & needles waiting until your JCW get into your hands. It is well worth the wait. I was very lucky when I bought my JCW. It was sitting on the showroom floor with the only option I really wanted on it. (Sport Suspension). As well as my color choice. I like my car more every time I drive it. I'm sure you will be more then happy with your JCW.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. I don't know how I'm going to make it to June...I don't even have my production number yet. Should get it shortly after the holiday season. One thing I saw on these forums is that the Canadian JCW comes with some "half way" aero kit. Its not the stock Cooper S bodywork, but its also not the JCW aero kit with the side skirts and lip...It comes with painted fenders which I'm not sure I like...I like the black stock fenders.

June?
Maybe knock yourself into a coma and come out of it June 1st?

Not to get this thread back on track, but....
The dipstick is a POS. Why cant the Germans create a dipstick that everyone can read? Even my SA admits they are a pain, esp if the oil is not that dirty. He suggested aftermarket, and the ones offrered by MossMINI look like they're more durable and easier to read.
