Hey guys, haven't seen this issue up here in a while. But today i started up the Mini and the engine knock was quite loud. I haven't noticed it since last winter. The outside temp guage read 10 degrees Fahrenheit. It seems to go away after the car warms up, but it is a very unsettling sound.

Has Mini announced a fix or cause to this yet? How is everyone else dealing with it?

Maybe someone can make a sticky thread dealing with this issue since it seems to be very common.

 

Trying to be polite as possible, but there are literally one billion threads about this, there is no solution to the problem, there is no confirmation that mini has acknowledged or is dealing with it, you're out of luck, and there is currently another thread on page one of this forum, so yes, this has been brought up for the one billion and first time in the last week.
