Another new Mellow Yellow S

Hey,
How's it going? Just thought I'd post some pics of the new ride. Picked it up about a month ago but I haven't really had time to post. So far its been great. I already swapped out the front grill and blacked out the belt line. Also put some flat black sport stripes on.

Here's some pics. Enjoy

Very nice, I like that you ran the sport stripes all the way down through the bumper. Plans for the future? I'm guessing you have some blacked out wheels in mind...

I am thinking about it but its leased currently so I don't want to sink to much money into it. I love the black wheels from Mini but 3g's....they are out of there minds. Also, at the end of the day I do want headers for the vette in the spring so thats where the cash might end up.

For the mini I will probably paint the calipers, tint it and maybe black out the headlight bezels or do the joey mod and i think thats about it.

You may end up eating it at the end of the lease if you don't purchase it. Leasors don't like mods done to their cars by leasees.

Quite a tribute that Corvette drivers choose a MINI Cooper when they need to carry more than one passenger.

Thanks for all the replies. Glad to see there's a few other vette-mini people as well. Kinda a strange combo, but now I really can't complain about my drive to work any day of the week. rain or shine.

Congrats on the purchase! I like what you've done with it and welcome to the Mellow Yellow family. No Vette for me, but I don't know when I'd drive it...I can't get enough of my MINI.

Looks great!!! I'm picking my Mellow Yellow ("Princess Buttercup") up tomorrow... can't wait! Just got back from Spain and saw one parked every day in one of the back alleys of the barrio we walked through... seeing that one made waiting to get Princess B harder.

Have fun with it!

Love it!!! We have '92 LT1 and '08 LS3 Corvettes, plus our new '08 Mini Cooper S - all three are Red 6-Speed Manual Coupes. A Mini and Corvette in the same garage is not so strange as one would think - if you are a car enthusiast...

addendum

We moved out of MA to get away from that white stuff - much nicer here in NC and the underside of our car still looks like new.

We've had our Mello Yellow with white roof and white stripes since Aug. '07 and now have 37,000+ miles on it. Has been GREAT.

By the way Corvettes and MINIs aren't that unusual. We have front engine front wheel drive MINI and rear engine rear wheel Drive Porsches & Beetles. They all co-exist nicely in the same garage!

As a former 1966 Beetle owner, I would tend to agree with that.
