When I take out the factory headlight bulb this is what it is

And I try to push the little metal clip in and pull bulb out it doesn't come out

Can someone please help me with this i'm freaking out that I'm not able to install stupid head light bulbs.

Are you trying to take the assembly you have pictured apart? The Silverstar assembly replaces that whole thing. You just snap it back into the housing.

pretty sure you don't have the correct replacement bulb. Sylvania website says H13 or 9008, you have a H7.

Well I'm going by my experience with an R53, where all you do is unplug the wire, pop out the old assembly like you show there, then put the Silverstars in and replace the plug. The H7 is correct for R53s. I know little about the new ones but I doubt it is changed.

I did notice that the 2007 lists an H7 but..

2008 MINI Cooper S Coupe (With replaceable halogen capsules)

High & low beam headlamp
H13 (9008)
H13ST Silverstar High Performance Lighting: The Whiter and Brighter Halogen
H13XV XtraVision Halogen - The Brighter Light

i'd go back to the store real quick and see if the H13 are the same as what you pulled out.

Don't feel bad - their web site burned me on this very point...

I AM surprised that a year later it is still wrong .....

The owner's manual lists the correct bulb type.......

So...the replacement should be an H13 instead of H7?

H13s fit like a charm. Easy switch out. A noticeable difference at this point, but I haven't had the chance to drive around at night yet, so I'll report back at that point.

Anybody need a perfectly new pair of X-treme Power H7s??
