yea it was crooked when i took the pic
i used plasti-dip for everything including the wheels and headlights. no prep, just clean everything off using diluted simple-green. went on easy, and removable if i want to at a later date.
i baked the headlights to take them apart, even with the venture-shield invisible film on them, they had no problems with 220 degrees in the oven.

maximus96,
I'd love to know more details regarding the wheels process. I am aware of Plasti-dip but know nothing about how it is used? spray? dip? brush? did you remove the tires first? How durable is it? Could you post a closer pic of the wheels?
Sorry for the barage of questions but my next big purchase was going to be black wheels but if I can get a decent look with plasti-dip.....

Thanks for the kind words. The stripes are vinyl, forgot to mention that. Also I used VHT nite shades for the front signals and side repeaters with plasti-dip on the other black parts.
The wheels were done about a month ago and they're holding up just fine. I can't post any pics yet because internet is down at home.
The plasti-dip joey mod was done this past monday so no long term conclusions yet. I read some first-gen folks using plasti-dip for their joey so I think it should be ok. Taking the headlights apart were easy since I've done the same to my other cars before. I didn't do the projector shrouds because my wife was coming home and I didn't have enough time to try to figure out how to take it apart. I think it looks fine for now.

The Plasti-dip is good to 200*F. Someone with an infrared temp gun should see how hot the xenon headlamps get. I suspect that it won't be as hot as 200*
What's up with that yellow paint. That doesn't look anything like mellow yellow (which looks washed out). That actually looks like a really nice yellow. Although I've read that yellow is a hard color for digicams to render correctly.
More wheel pics please. Also, can you give a step by step? Did you do the back side of the rims?
