I think Tobey might be sick!

Ok, so i think this is unrelated but 2 weeks ago i installed a DIY CAI for my 08 MC, and it has been running fine although a bit louder which is what i wanted anyways. Well, today I took it through a touch less car wash and after I now hear a clunk, clunk, clunk noise when I come off the gas. Going above 20mph I hear it when I let off the gas, put the clutch in( it seems to be a bit louder when the clutch is in) and when my foot is on the dead pdeal I can feel it through the floor. like I said I think the CAI and timing of the sound is conicidental, but it feels like its coming from the left front wheel well. Oh, also when I apply the brakes the sound goes away, but when I let off the brakes and put it back into gear there seems to be a slight "slapping" noise when I re-apply the gas. I'm thinking maybe a CV joint? but 31,000 miles is too soon for that kind of problem isn't it? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated before I call the dealer and take the 3 hour drive up there.

it could be the sound generator, did you remove it before installing the CAI?

Get it up on a lift and have a qualified tech look at it asap.......IMO it sounds more like some sort of under carriage damage from the "touchless" car wash ?

You could also have a rock or other road debris lodged in your brake pads or a high spot on your rotor. +1 on the qualified tech doing a visual inspection ASAP.
