R56 Five door MINI
#29
Yep, a good photoshop. The door handles both are identical and they both have the keyless entry button. If MINI really did make this, the rear door would be far smaller. It may look good this way but it would never make it to production. Don't forget, it is getting really close to April 1st.

I don't understand the point. First off, MINI never made a 4 door "sedan" back in the day. It was always a small run around, multipurpose vehicle.... some mods like flat beds and the like, but it was always small. The Traveler (Modern Clubman) was made for hauling people and cargo. MINI would not be living up to the brand if they did that. Secondly... if you make a MINI with room for four, you really need room for lugauge, otherwise what is the point?
Just my $0.02
I think if MINI did do it (which they won't) it would flop.

BMW's looking to expand the appeal of the MINI lineup. A five-door hatch would surely widen appeal--much better for a couple with a couple young kids, for example. I doubt it would flop. Whether it dilutes the MINI brand probably depends on the execution... as long as it maintains enough the "MINI" go-kart feel and style, I'm good. Remember, BMW isn't really doing this "in honour" or "as a tribute" to the original MINI. They're doing this to make money.
Anyways, the MINI Cooper hardtop is roughly 3.6 m long, and the Honda Fit is roughly 4.1 m long. The sedan would probably have to be about as long as a Fit (with less interior room--packaging isn't as clever, and it isn't as tall). Something like this:
