One touch up is automatic, not an adjustable feature.. Sometimes, however, a reset is required.
1. Open the window by holding the switch down and continue to hold the switch down for 30 sec.
2. Close the window by holding the switch up and continue to hold the switch up for 30 sec.

That should reset the switch.

What could be the reason that set it to manual? I cant remember doing something, unless the mechanics (mini) did something i was unaware of when i took it in yesterday!

I understood that one click close was not an option in the States.

Down yes, up no.

That was on 07's.

08-09 both have auto-up now.

It might sound stupid...but make sure the door is closed! That happened to me at the dealership where I was seeing if they had one touch up and I had the door open. It doesn't work when the door is open...and the MA didn't know that either!

Nah the door is closed hah thanx though. Anyway i made the reset by holding for 30secs and all is well now.
What i really cannot understand is why/how was is altered in the first place and why only for the drivers window? Any ideas?

No "one-click close" on the sunroof. And the "one-click open" only takes it to the tilt position, not fully open.

Can we retrofit one click open for the sunroof? I heard that the European version of the R55/R56 can do that

You should have auto up for driver and passenger windows. Does the window dip down a 1/2 inch when you open either door? No auto-open for the sunroof.

Hate to say it, but you might be seeing a bigger problem in the works.

Check out this LONG thread. My car had window issues as well.

I don't think Zoran has the anti-pinch problem you're talk about, MINISpud, particularly if the reset solved the problem.

negative ken.

My window dipper problem had signs of the worst to come. One of them was the auto-up to stop working. In that long window dipper thread, one of the suggested fixes that works 25% of the time is to hold down the button for 15 - 30 seconds..

Hopefully its not writing on the wall and it is just a small issue, but wanted the poster to be aware of the bigger problems with the windows.

Window Lift Zombie

I've got an '08 R56S with 14K on it when the driver's side window control went nuts. Took it to the dealer and was told there was an ECU programming error. Takes ~1hr to re-program. After 2wks, the poltergeists seem to have been vanquished. Dwight

Fair enough. No worries.
