Does the MINI's sunroof have a tilt function? I could have sworn when i got the car, if i pressed forward (towards the windscreen) it would tilt but not open and pressing back (towards me) it would open the sunroof.

Now pressing forward is only to close it and pressing back will tilt but it then opens the sunroof, there is no pause or anything before it opens. Is this normal?

The manual didn't really say anything about it.

If you pull back on the switch you will feel two stops. The first stop will make it tilt, the second will open it all the way. Pushing forward just closes it.

Or, when opening the sunroof, just give a quick pull to the switch and release it. The front and back sunroofs will go to the tilt position and stop. This procedure is similar to the auto-up and auto-down on the windows.

Unfortunately, there is no auto-close feature on the sunroof. Regardless of its position, you must hold the switch until the roof closes completely.

 

That's what I do, I don't feel 2 stops in the switch.

 

1 stop on the switch. 2 stops in the process of opening the sunroof completely.

 

Just curious doesnt anyone read the manuals? You know those books they give you when you buy the car..........
