end of model year pricing?
Any dealer incentives to move out the end of 2009 stock? Current pricing off of MSRP?
Considering a Cooper Hardtop with auto ( among a couple of other things) for my kid and trying to see if dealers are more flexible in this economy. What can I expect? Tips?
Thanks.
Regards,
Jerry

Each and every dealer will be different on what Incentives they will be offering. If they are "overstoced" then yes you will most likely be able to offer a Lower Price on something in Stock.
It might be to your advantage to use the Internet and peruse your Local Dealer's site to see what they may still have on the Lot. If you are willing to travel check those Dealer's out as well. Calling never hurts either.
Good Luck!!

My dealer is big, lots of stock and is not known for discounting; to the contrary, they are known for "packing" their cars ($299 for nitrogen filled tires! ).
$1000 off of an S seems fair, about splitting the spread between MSRP and invoice (less holdback).
So if I deal with my local dealer, I need to find a car in stock that is a recent arrival BEFORE they pack all the stuff on.

I settled at $750, no dealer fee, no dealer "packages" (including their standard $300 nitrogen in the tires package! ) they got my trade for about $500 under FMV, but then I had Uncle Sam picking up some of the slack!
Thanks for the help here!!

Jerry
