Easy Performance Upgrades?

Not sure if this is the right section, moderators feel free to move the thread if i'm mistaken...

I have an '09 MCS (please read signature for details) and was wondering what are some easy performance upgrades that I could do to get a little more oomph out of my car?

Might get better responses if posted in 2nd Gen -> Modifications -> Drivetrain (Cooper-S)

You should also check out the different posts. Lots of info already there. Depends on what you are doing with the car! Twisties, autox, track etc.

I've attempted to filter through things on here, but honestly there's just too much to go through and im short on time. i'm at work and shouldnt even be on here in the first place!

plus, whatever i do seem to find is always dated... was hoping for a fresh answer.

As for what i'm doing with it... road trips, local driving, pointless aimless drives just for fun. no track or racing of sorts. I just enjoy me a fast car for everyday use and was wondering what i could do to spice things up a bit.

Anyway cause people post in the wrong section all the time. The easiest mod in performance to do on this car imo is the alta intake and turbo intake tube. It took me a combined time of about 30min to install both with minor hand tools. I think that I need a wrench with some torx bits and a screwdriver.

If you are willing to give up some low-end torque for more power at high revs, the JCW Stage I kit would be easy because the dealer installs it.

For handling, lighter weight wheels and non-runflat Extreme Performance summer tires such as the Bridgestone RE-11. For a more civilized tire that still handles well, the Michelin Pilot Exhalto PE2.

But a cheaper and better yielding result would come from a tune from RMW.

Most bang for your buck considering you cand spend 300-400 for a set of boost tubes or intake and still not get anywhere near what you get for a tune.

Yes but with the boost tubes and the tune your car will run better

From what I have been reading, Jan (RMW) seems to recommend an exhaust dp and IC with his tune.
