Come on, people expect german built, or shouldI say, german designed cars to be the best, and that's why they pay top dollar for it, and you would think that BMW/Mini would want to maintain their reputation instead of having their top people say that all these little problems are the customers fault because the need to get to know their car better or compare the Mini's to one's spouse.

Or, when BMW/MINI bill the Cooper as a "Premium" small car, and then proceed to jack up the price a couple thousand because of the "Premium" descriptor, even if it is a simple marketing scheme.

Well, when your electrical system has been shorting out for 2 years and 9 months, how would you feel about keeping the car?

I like how Mini made fun of the fact Mini was dead last in the Initial Quality survey. They basically said new Minis have problems and owners like it that way...

Oh....and this was all due to the module install? So if the module was taken away would the problem have gone away or was the system shot after that point?

Yeah, I was really disappointed with how they handled that. I'd much rather they said they were not happy with it and had a comprehensive program in place to correct the situation than the glib BS they said.........

Well the SA was much more helpful this morning, although he did have some new lines for me. When I asked again about the undervoltage, he said, "Maybe you left your lights on and didn't notice it, we all make mistakes." As for the window problem, he pretty much said there's nothing they can do, and if they adjust the window, which they're doing now, I might get some wind noise and water leakage.

I called MINI USA back, but the rep I talked to wasn't in yet. I left him a message, hopefully I'll hear back soon.
