R56 Does Sport Package change anything besides what's listed?

And the configurator also shows an incorrect image for the clubman aerokit (at least it did a few months back.) The configurator is far from 100% perfect. Just because it doesn't go into depth on an option doesn't mean its wrong. Most likely, you are just using the configurator to get a hint of what you are looking for, but you are going to be speaking with an educated MA when it comes time to order.

"Educated MA" is an oxymoron. My MA knew less about MINI options than I did. For one, he didn't know that the NAV came with voice recognition. He complained that although he requested info and training from MINI, he never recevied much. There have been numerous issues talked about on NAM that the people at the dealership have been clueless about.

You guys can argue all you want-- all you have to do is drive a MINI with sport suspension and then drive one without. Unless you are completely clueless about cars, you can without a doubt tell there is a difference in the springs/dampers. Its unarguable. All this debating on the website says is pointless. Go drive one to get your answer. My MINI has the sport suspension and I've driven a loaner without sport suspension so I know what I'm talking about.

Robert-
The factory sport suspension upgrades all of the above. So, anti-sway bars, springs and dampers are all upgraded. Thanks.

What is different in the sports suspension vs. the regular suspension?
I hope this settles it.

Are we talking about the sport package as the OP asked about or the difference between a Justa or a S? Color me wrong but I believe the S has the beefed up crap and buying a (sport package) is what it is? on a S or a Justa ? and yes you can add more beef on the side when you order either car but think the sport package is what it is as the OP wanted to know.

Had no idea it was going to turn into a suspension discussion, but it's been educational... thanks to all for that.

What's really odd is that Sports Suspension was in the Sport Package last year. Why it was removed (better value now though w/ white turn signals and Xenon's added for $250 less) and offered as an option seems baffling. If any one option should absolutely be in a Sports Package it's Sports Suspension.

Ive always avoided the so-called Sport Paks both on my 2005 S and my 2009 S. waaaay too overpriced for what one gets, and it always seems to be changing. I remember a day when Xenons were part of the Sport pak.
hell, the JCW suspension is extra option to all factory JCW cars. WTF?
ala carte: the only way to motor!

Oh my, the configurator isn't perfect! This was already mentioned. The configurator isn't always right, nor does it provide every single change/option/detail. As posted many times before, the sport suspension changes more then just the sway bars. If it didn't, it would be false advertising where they state differently in the "Learn" section of the website. It was also confirmed by a MINI Associate.

This may be worded differently in the above posts but confusing. I'm pretty sure when I ordered the sports package for my '08 Cooper Clubman, the sports suspension was part of that. I remember the next year('09), the issue was that the sports suspension was removed from the package and it became a stand-alone option. I had sport suspension on my '05 Cooper and I used to have the window sticker for it. I can't find it now but I would like to see how that was listed.

I just found my sticker for my Clubbie. It shows the sports suspension included in the sports package as I remember.
I guess the image is too big so here is the link: http://www.flickr.com/photos/2420279...87616/sizes/m/
