Let's see you roof art!

I'm considering a roof graphic and need some inspiration. Let's see what's on your roof.

I can't wait to see if this sticky takes off. I am considering roof art but can I do it with a sunroof? --STACY

This is not even the best board for the subject, never mind 'sticky'.

Look over on the board Interior/Exterior (which has no 'stickies' yet) for more discussion's of this nature.

Roof art not only can be added over sunroof's, a lot of owners like the idea of the 'sun-block' achieved with it.

I have been under strong South Florida sunshine for 18 months with my sunroof un-modified and enjoy it most un-modified.

From this board, this page has some good looking sunroof art applied photo posts.

How does one roof art? I guess it depends on what kind of art needs a roof.

So far, my roof art is purely conceptual. I was thinking of putting one of my photos on the roof, but haven't done anything about it. Here were some of the contenders:

Yes, often sunroof graphics are perforated.

I have a Pepper White/Black roof and painting the brake calipers red. Thinking about sunroofs (or is it sunroof and moonroof? ) art. Opinions on how a *two toned (red and white (sunroofs only) instead of black and white shown in pic) Union Jack (sunroofs only) would look and offer contrast on my color combo.

* Maybe inverse colors (black as white and white as red)

I had this:

Now it's just white. I'd like to make a suggestion that if you do wrap the roof in vinyl, go for broke and do the entire roof and not just the sunroof.

Thanks Vic, I agree and that is my plan. I'm having my artistic son do an abstract painting with red, white and black and will use that for the design. He's really talented and it will be totally unique. I plan on hanging the original in my office.

Robin,

The one with the sand and rocks in it would be really cool to do as a roof graphic.

It's funny, no one ever notices mine .. except one time some girl that was up on a hill above me started singing the Transformers theme song while I was stopped at a traffic light
