Actually I have been meaning to ask this as well....
When I ordered the Mini they checked my credit and said it had been approved. However, they also said that the best interest available was 6%. I was told it could change by the time I pick up the car but it wasnt for suresure. I have very good credit and was set on the 1.9%. Any thoughts on what this is about, I'm a novice with car purchases.

found the answer..... I think I would just get my own financing and make the best deal I can.. that is what I have done in the past... and never do the trade in deal.. sell it instead

There is no balloon in the straight 1.9% finance. My credit union has 3.49% right now, so if MINI should say no my excellent credit is not excellent enough, I would go that route. But I always qualify for the best rate at the credit union, so I expect to qualify at MINI - especially with $10K we have to put down.
Ours will come close to $31K with tax and lic. Less $10K cash down = $21K financed. 21 x $17.48 per thousand financed = $367 a month approx.
There are also online calculators to figure car payment amounts:
http://www.becu.org/learn-and-plan/w...newest&topic=1
It shows at 3.49% financed for 60 months $21K would be $382 payments. Of course you can always pay more every month. Just paid of our 2007 GMC diesel truck in 3 years time by paying extra.

Geez none of my replys are going through. This weekend was the only one which I could pick the car up. Plus the MA told me from the get go all the vdc problems had been solved. Now the they are saying it will be available the 22nd. The dealer is about 2 hours away from the VDC which is even more frustrating.

Are you getting it direct at VDC or from the dealer? The dealer I assume?
Hope mine is on a truck heading north, not stuck at VDC.....
