R56 2010 got 10 more HP's
#2
I remember reading about it, something internal to the engine that they were able to make a little smoother, so could possibly be air flow or something relating to the head, i forget to be honest, but it shaves .1 sec off their proposed 0-60time, which is still under-rated. most R56's pre 2011 with 172hp got between 168-172whp on a dyno, so their crank ratings are actually at about wheel ratings. Also, stock, you have to shift to 3rd gear to hit 60, which adds on the extra shift time into the 0-60 factor. I can hit 63mph in 2nd gear now, so my 0-60 time is MUCH lower than factory.

The extra HP is from the new direct injection system. The extra torque is from the addition of variable valve timing management. The guys at White Roof Radio say the new MCS feels as strong (or stronger) than the older JCWs. Another bonus is the gas mileage improves about 15% too. These cars should be cracken 0-60 under 7 seconds.

Wow, could have waited for 2011 ...
Just got 2010 2 weeks ago but back in the shop after 1 week and still in the shop for the whole week already.
Well, can't beat $240/month lease Don't think can get 2011 for that deal soon.
