The new system from HK is much better IMHO. The bass is uncomparable as opposed to the old standard system, and the highs via the new tweeters built into the front frame are much cleaner and brighter than the standard ones built into the doors. Just my opinion, but, you would have to pay alot more than 750 dollars for aftermarket speakers and amps if you decided to upgrade the standard one later....better to pay now than to pay much more later.
