In my opinion these are the cars to have, and I'd have taken one for sure. I love the European visual boost. Bluetooth and song data on that screen would be AWESOME. I didn't want to pay for nave and mini connect by itself doesn't really offer much to me beyond these functions anyway, as I don't want to integrate Twitter and facebook and all that. So I say you made out like a bandit. A bandit!

For those of you who have a Clubman S on order, I suggest you purchase a spare tire. Should something happen to your run-flats, you have a spare tire backup. My friend Lynn's Clubman S got a screw stuck in her rear run-flat yesterday. She took it to Pep Boys and Firestone and they would not repair the run-flat eventhough it wasn't leaking any air. She did purchase the spare tire when she purchased her car. Luckily she didn't need to use it.

We kind of knew no one would fix a run-flat, so we went with plan B. Instead of buying another run-flat that is unrepairable, she bought four new non-run-flat Bridgestone tires from Firestone and purchased the lifetime alignment plan. They thought she was nuts to throw away three expensive tires that only had 7,500 miles on them. She had to do it because it would save her money in the long run.

As you will find here on NAM, many owners have ditched their run-flats eventhough the tires were fine.

Though the 'unrepairable' thing is bs. I had my rfs repaired several times in the years I was driving through all that construction in sf. Well, three times. You just have to go to a shop that will do it.

Striped alloy looks great. However anyone considering it should notice that with the door handles only the front side of the handle is striped alloy, and the other side (facing the door) is black plastic. Also the door ring is not striped alloy, it is more like fluid silver, but darker. Looks great in my opinion. I should have taken photos when I had the chance.

I think i like the english oak best, but it seems to me that it won't go with all colors. Like it will probably look great with brg2 but with laser blue, the striped alloy is probably a better match. i would like to see pics though if anyone has laser blue with the english oak.

yea, striped alloy looks really nice. i also like fluid silver. and my first mod will be the changing of the dash trim to either one.

Orm, good catch on the door trim when configured with striped alloy. Confirmed here as well.

Yes, only half of the handle bar is striped alloy, the other side is black plastic. You can see this if you look at the handle from top. The materials feel different too. I guess they wanted to save money on it.

The reason why I got striped alloy in the first place was to get rid of the black handles. Well you can't always win, can you?

Took some pics with my camera-phone today at the dealership. Nothing about the striped alloy, however, the link invaliduser gave, shows it pretty well. Anyways, want to see my pics? (JCW Convertible and Spicy Orange Cooper with a tattoo, and Visual Boost in a White Silver Cooper).

Well the Striped alloy replaced Brushed alloy. And that worked the same, the front part of the black handle was brushed alloy and back was black. Its the same for striped alloy. But it seems such an issue here lol, they are not cutting corners.

sdmidget i checked out your gallery, nice pics i was at the dealer today and someone was picking up their new spice orange s. Looked great. I'm trying to decide if i want those wheels you have in black. Dealer didn't have any in black in that style to see. I was told though that they are a mat finish and not shiny? Any chance of gettin a close up of the wheel? Thanks
