I had to fill my tank for the first time yesterday and noticed the fuel gauge in Visual Boost has an arrow to point to the fuel door but the light does not light. I know most people know where the fuel door is but it would be nice if the light worked since it was there. Is it working for anyone else?

Visual Boost was actually a production error by MINI during the first part of production for 2011.

I have a 2011 Mini Cooper S convertible with Visual Boost & In the Visual Boost Menu- What is the "mini assist" option? It is one of the main folders on the home screen but nothing inside it.

Also is there a way to play video? when i connect my ipod using the included Y-Cable from the dealership (USB + Audio plug to Ipod) i can navigate to the video playlist and start a movie but the screen goes black while the audio plays. has anyone had luck with playing videos on visual boost?

thanks so much for the help

maybe a safety feature, meaning you have to have the emergency/hand brake on.....just a thought since some of the aftermarket indash dvd players have that feature.

I believe the pic from that link is the first I've actually seen of the iPhone cradle built into the center armrest. It all makes sense now as to why it is a mandatory companion to the MINI Connected option. Very nice.

Thanks for the reply automan21, i tried this but no dice with the E-break on, good idea though.

Does anyone know what "mini assist" is on the Visual Boost menu?

Well, based on the picture "DSC07259" of CFRM's gallery the video is working in his car.
I drive a 2011 Cabrio S with Visual Boost and neither video or album covers are working.
Hey CFRM, question... What type of cable are you using to plug your iPod/iPhone? I'm using just the USB-Dock Connector.

it's probably minis version of on-star. I believe my pre-lci r56 with navi has that as well.

Try using your stock Ipod cable that came with the Ipod not the car. Heard it may work. I beleive you have to be in park for video to work.

Hey, I mostly use a USB stick, I also recieved from the dealership the outdated cable for the ipod which does NOT display video, the screen goes black and you can only hear audio, even if the car is parked. There is a newer cable which I am trying to get, if you search a bit it should pop up. The part number is in the PDF for USB something at www2.mini.com/connectivity. That is the only way I know to get video.

Cheers!
