What is this? (noob question)

I found this little plastic widgit in my "secret compartment" above the glove box, and have no clue what it is. My MA wasn't sure either. So I figured I'd give it a go here and see if maybe someone here knows.
I am, admittedly, clueless here hence the noob question in the title.

Thanks a bunch,
Murdoc.

Not exactly sure but it looks like one of those dummy keys used to unlock doors but they won't start a car.

If you find out, let us know.

Haha, sometimes I have to laugh at myself. I did a search throughout the day yesterday and found nothing. And I call myself a computer tech(well I don't, but the company I work for does) lol. Thanks for the link to the other, earlier post, when I asked at the Dealership my MA had no idea what it was for. But, I am not giving up that easy, I want to know. Once I figure out, or find out what it is, I will let you all know.

Thanks,
Murdoc

Well, that certainly limits the possibilities of what it could be. Or it should.

my stepsister and I got our brand new 2011's a day apart from each other, and she found the same thing! but hers was more black I think-we couldn't figure out what the hell it was-I don't know what she did with it, but I recognize what you're talking about haha. Sorry I can't offer any input on what it might be

Probably just something they use during assembly. I assume they just missed it lol

Or maybe its just something like a dummy key that all the other keys are attached to so they can slip them in the exterior door lock, like a lot of car dealerships do while they move cars around the lot.
