I lost my way back in November 2007 when I sold my '05 MCS. Since then, I've embarked on a long and crazy journey that finally came to an end in August of this year when I purchased a 2013 Eclipse Gray MCS.
Are those aftermarket red brake ducts or did you have them painted? Details...

Thanks RoyalCooper!
I used Plasti-Dip paint on the mirrors and the brake ducts.
Since Plasti-Dip is not permanent and fairly easy to remove, I figured it was the best way to decide if I wanted to spend the money to change my mirrors and brake ducts using a body shop or vinyl wrap.

Hey everyone, relatively new to the MINI world...and weeks new to my eclipse grey hardtop S w/ black roof and mirrors. Currently I have silver rims (which I would like if I had the white headlight housing) but with the black headlight housing, I want to go with either black or anthracite grey rims...thoughts?
Options for black... R111 black star bullet or R112 cross spoke challenge
(is it frowned upon to have JCW rims on a non JCW MINI?)
Options for grey... R90 cross spoke composite anthracite or R99 grey double spoke
To me, black seems obvious and almost simple but pulls it all together. The grey however might be too much grey on grey. I am curious if the eclipse grey is dark enough to make the grey anthracite stand out?
I got the 2GS Conical Spoke Black wheels on mine (17").
Before I took delivery, I thought that I was going to black out the chrome, but the car turned out to be much darker than the configurator showed. I love the color -- and it seems to be one of the more rare ones -- but once I saw the actual car, I decided to leave the chrome alone.

Thoughts and or opinions welcome
Thanks
I was playing around with either gray or anthracite as well. I personally just like the subdued look black rims give. I think anthracite will still stand out. NM Engineering offers anthracite (gun metal) or black on their rims. I have their RSe05s.
And no, no one frowns about JCW rims on a non JCW mini. They're hot rims
