I forgot to post here. I got took delivery of my JCW with only 4km (2.5 miles) on the clock. Some pics are below. The build to delivery date was only about 5 weeks. I put a deposit and ordered way back in August.
After 100 miles or so I am really hearing the pops and burbles (with and without the sport button) and the turbo blow off is quite audible too.
The colour is unreal. Loving the EG with Chili Red roof. I've only had the car two days and have had lots of positive comments, finger pointing as I drive by, etc.

Yes it was either calling him Cooper or Henry! I have no pics of him in the car yet - he is not allowed in until he has a bath.
And you have a black grill surround and different headlight reflectors. I thought I was going to vinyl mine black but in person I rather like the chrome.
I am seriously thinking of using the Enkei wheels in the summer as well - I am really liking the look - probably because the darker silver colour. And then I would use the Challenge wheels for next winter.

What next for my Clubbie
I couple of weeks back I swapped for some Challenge Spoke wheels and I'm loving them!!!
I'm toying with some small cosmetic upgrades and want some input.
1) I really don't care for the S scuttles - too much chrome. I'm considering either : JCW scuttles or Black Jack's.
2) If I did the Black Jack scuttles, I'm thinking of doing the rear view mirror to match.
3) If I go with scuttles and rear view mirror, I'm actually torn between going black jack or union jack - would a splash of color be refreshing or look out of place? I have the leather/cloth red rooster seats with the red rooster color line.
I have thought about mirror caps to match the rear view mirror, but I'm leaning against that.
I'm looking for suggestions and your pictures for ideas. Thank you!!!

I finally get to join the Eclipse Gray family. I am extremely happy with the contrast of the gray and the red. I had a gray 2002 Mini with all the JCW kit added on for 3 years and let it go in 2005. I had to come back into a Mini and gray once again too.
I really like adaptive zenon headlights so I was unable to get the black headlight housings. I felt that the darker headlight housings looked better on a darker cars like EG. My solution was 3M clearbra. I had 3M clearbra applied to the car prior to pick up (complete front including the whole hood, fogs and headlights). The headlights are smoked 3M film.

Sorry, I don't have a link. I just asked a 3M clearbra installer if they had the kit to do smoked headlight on a coupe. He told me they have the ability to do it on any current model Mini. I am very happy with the look and installation.

MY next choice, had Eclipse Gray not been available, would have been Pepper White, YOUR car color!

jacobjr - when I configured the Kid over 3 years ago, I was really trying to keep the price down - no turbo, nothing fancy at all about the interior and PW was a no cost paint option. At the time, Dark Silver was my top color but was a $500 option...
When I took delivery, my wife saw a Dark Silver at the dealer and said, "Now that's the color you SHOULD have gotten." I won't make that mistake again!

I will say the configurator doesn't do justice to the color in person. I am amazed how nice it looks. I am glad I chose it over the other color options.
