What is the best scanner you can get for a Mini R56?
I'm not asking what is the cheapest. Just what is the best with the Mini Cooper codes and not a generic Auto Zone do it all piece of crap that does not have BMW/Mini codes in it.
A listing of the codes would also be good to have.

Get a BMW compatible J2534 pass-through-tool. DrewTech has one model, the Mongoose is not BMW approved I have discovered.
Then you subscribe to minitechinfo.com with a 24 hour pass ($30), one month or one year options.
You connect the tool to your laptop (recommend a dedicated laptop) and then to the internet.
With this setup you have the COMPLETE dealer toolset (short of the key programming) for diagnostic and programming/coding of BMW and MINI.
