R56 White - Pepper or Silver

White - Pepper or Silver
Afternoon,
Been lurking here awhile, appreciate everyones' input to the forums.
I'm starting to look at a '11 MCS, would like to get it in solid white, no black roof, for a "clean" look, but all the cars on the dealer lot either are white with black roof, or if the rare "all-white" comes in, has a sunroof. I am sure someone here has had the same dilema:
1) Which color presents better/"cleaner" lines on the MCS, Pepper White or White Silver? No sunroof, stripes, ...
2) Go with the black headlamp housing, or will it look like someone punched the Mini and gave him/her a couple of shinners?
Thanks!!
P.S. If anyone has taken delivery of one (white w/black headlamp housing) would be great if you could post.

Well you can't get all white silver. The roof will have to black or pepper white... Unless you can find a camden edition, but those are '10s. If you can't deal with the white silver with black roof. Which looks AMAZING. Then go with the pepper white. My personal opinion is that color looks like the color my grand parents used to get all their Crown Victoria's in. So I associate it with the elderly. So not my cup of tea

thanks Bcow
Thanks B-Cow for the oversight on my part, did not see the White Silver had to have a white or black roof! But the White Silver/black roof does look nice on the configurator, anyone have one, especailly with the black headlamp housing they could share a photo of?

I plan to order an all Pepper White MCS with Green Lounge Leather, Premium, Convenience, Sport and Cold Weather Packages sometime in the Spring. I have a Chrysler Sebring Convertible that I am replacing and want to wait until warmer weather to get top dollar for it. Also thought about White Silver, but Pepper White is more of an Ivory color and seems richer to me.

I'm a Pepper myself...
... and I went the same route you want to go - no black roof, monotone look, and in fact took it a step further with the factory aero kit, mainly to add the body color wheel arches. I like how it turned out.
Cream White colorline and black lounge leather for a complementary interior... don't forget the anthracite headliner!
Later I replaced the cheesy "plastichrome" scuttles with the plain black ones from the Justacooper.. VAST improvement on the cheap...

I'm gonna have to vote for the white silver. I didn't think I would like the color, but I absolutely love it. My sister and I both have 2011's, mine a white silver, hers a pepper white, both with black roofs and mirror housings. Now that it's winter and the roads are sanded/salted, the white silver hides the road dirt/grime much much better. And plus, as a previous poster added, its metallic, as the pepper white isn't, so it really shines when clean. Someone in my town however has a 2011 all pepper white IMHO, I wasn't impressed. But im sure no matter what you choose, you'll love it

Thanks! and no problem, glad I could help. Hope the picture was able to give you a good side-by-side comparison between then two colors. My gallery has more pictures of just my white silver so you can see how the color looks in different lighting. Regardless what color you do pick, its obviously gonna get dirty, but if you do live in an area that experiences cold climate and snow, the salt from the roads is pretty much invisible on the white silver, except for the body panels in black (wheel arches, and alongside the bottom of the car). But you can always avoid that by looking into getting the "value package" like my sisters and some of the other posters had so that the panels match the body color

+1 for the metallic! My previous car (not a MINI) was a metallic platinum silver and i was amazed how the metallic paint seemed to hide the dirt. I washed the car alot, and I was always suprised to see how dirty it really got! Now I have a Chili Red, which is a non-metallic. And the dirt and fingerprints show up at lightning speeds! Good luck!

Pepper white. I have had so many compliments on this color. Even from owners of other Mini colors saying the wish they had gotten it. It shines great and the contrasting black roof really sets it off. Mini (BMW) black for the roof is different than any other black on the road. Its top quality in regards to shine. As to black headlight rings. I'm against it. I feel it makes the car look like a raccoon.
