Megan Racing Coilovers Street Damper Kit

I've decided to go with after-market coil-overs instead of buying just springs. Due to the adjust-ability aspect. I narrowed my search down to the Megan Street/Race Kit. These are for my 08 MCS.

Does anyone have any experience with this setup? The price is fairly reasonable.

Is this a decent setup or am I better off with a different one in this price range ($1,000 us). Will I see a marked improvement over stock?

Thanks in Advance. AXO

P.S. I am posting this in this section, because I don't posting priviledges in the Suspension section.

Coming from the honda world (way back in the day), megan wow that was to say an "interesting" brand. I guess they've moved up in the world.

I can see these being just the normal monotube coilovers. No personal experience with these on mini but most of the time, they are underdampened and the springs are really soft. Honestly I would suggest you may look at koni's that are revalved but seems a little bit untested.

I had revalved koni's + ground control coilover sleeves and they were wonderful. This was on a prelude though.

I've looked at the Megan's as well, mostly because of the price, but also because I've had 2 friends that have had great luck with them. One on a GTI and one on a WRX.

Koni's are about twice the price (OP said he wanted something around $1000)... Although I'm sure tons of people are going to say "you get what you pay for."

Yeah I haven't looked at Koni's price for mini's but I just did and they are way more expensive than other applications (looks like ~1200 for a set, opposed to $600 for a whole set for my prelude).

Interesting.
