Anybody Successful In Getting A Good Deal On A New MCS (Ordered)??
I am getting ready to negotiate a deal to order a 2011 MCS Hardtop in Pepper White with Premium, Convenience, Sport, Cold Weather, Green Lounge Leather, Adaptive Headlights and Arm Rest, and I am wondering if I can expect anything off MSRP? I plan to finance through Mini/BMW. I am told the finance incentives will be those that are in place at the time of delivery, not at the time of order? TrueCar suggests I should be able to get $500 to $800 off MSRP. Yes? No?

With a bunch of options added on like that you should definitely be able to get a discount. I'd go in and play hardball first and try to get the discount you want and then fall back on the Costco program if all else fails. Make sure and tell them you're interested in other cars like VW GTIs or WRX so they think you'll walk if they don't negotiate.
This is easier for me to say in SoCal where there are about 8-10 dealers within a 2 hour drive.
I was also told the incentives would be set at time of delivery rather than when the car was ordered(I asked because someone on this forum had said the opposite).
BTW I ended up buying a 2010 MCS off the lot instead of ordering an '11.

This is the second car we bought under the Costco discount, and I've been pretty satisfied with the process. Good luck, and let us know how it goes for you!
