Well im finally at that point and iv put too much time and money in customizing it to get rid of it and i still enjoy the car. We all no the potential problems that exist with the car whcih i wont rehash. In the past ive always believed in extended warrenties and each one was worthwhile except the mini warrenty is 2650, the most i ever spent on one i think was around 1400. My dealership says they have only sold 3 ext war so far. I have to assume that 2650 doesnt go to far with non maintenance repairs. I have been on many forums for every car ive had, i think when u own the car u become much more concerned about the future because of what we read. Are we really just a tiny inconsequential example of the reliabilties of the car. What do i do ?????????????????

 

Try anothe dealer see if they will give you a better price. I think there
is some wiggle room on price.

 

no wiigle room mini fairfield county sells everything at cost from mini ive called every local dealer and they are by far the cheapest

 

There is one in NJ supposed to be fair with prices..don't remember the name

That's not too bad. At Baron Mini for a 7 year/100,000 mile warranty is about $4,000

 

I believed they base their prize according to mileage you put in your car.
I have an 07 with 29T mi and I was offered $1900 (3yrs/100,000mi) 0 interest payments for 16mos.

 

MINI's are not THAT expensive to work on and most of us have a lot of knowledge dealing with cars. I see hundreds of MINI's on the roads and only few threads on here with cars having horrible issues. I really wouldn't bother. It does worry me too given that my 07 S is about to expire in May, but I've had the dealer reprogram the car, check everything by indep. shop, fix rattly flywheel, chain tensioner etc.

Also, haggle up even if they say they don't sell for less. You could try some dealers from another states. It's just a warranty and it should work everywhere. If it won't, I've had very positive experience with MINI USA complaining.

 

im purchasing it for 2380 from mini westchester theyre offering a 200 coupon so for that price i feel better about it. Im sure over the next three years i will need something fixed so even if i dont use 2380 in repairs its worth the piece of mind oiver a few hundred bucks over 3 years
