MCS 2011, 2012 question

I'm thinking of giving my 09 MC to a daughter and ordering a new MCS. The car she currently drives runs great and in excellent shape, an 06 X3. But I'm considering selling the X3 privately, giving her my MC and getting a new MCS for me.

Does anyone know of any specific changes planned for the 2012 MCS? I dont have to rush to a decision. I could order a 2011 or wait and order a 2012 when available.

Also, when is the next major refresh of the MCS scheduled? 2013? 14?

Thanks in advance

2011 is the refresh. MCS got more power and there are other changes. Check Motoring File website under "2011 LCI"

There wont be any info on 2012 changes for sometime now. Normally you see dealers will start to see this info mid to late summer at the earliest.

Thanks Claud.

Yea I knew 2011 was refresh. Refresh probably wasn't correct word. Somewhere and I couldn't find it, I read something about the possible next MCS major update. I think I read 2013 or 2014. And then again, maybe what I read was all speculation. Dont remember. (This is seperate of the recent post on motoringfile which I also saw.)

My guess is that that probably little will change in 2012 as the refresh just happened this year. Probably just some color changes next model year. But was wondering if anyone had read anything about any other changes.

I probably won't wait. I'll probably give the 09 to my daughter and order a car in the not too distant future.

The 2012 MINI probably won't see any major changes since '11 was the refresh, like you said.

The 3rd Gen MINI (meaning, a completely new car) is scheduled to be released as a 2013 model according to MotoringFile.
