ZipeeShades Questions

Recently I’ve posted questions in the “vendor group buys section” regarding the ZipeeShade, but thought posting them here would attract a larger audience specific to the R56. I would use the shades for hot weather & most of the time w/ the front panel open partially or fully. Their video mentions tucking in excess material upon installation, but no one as yet has explained what happens to that material when the roof is popped or opened. Opening the front panel involves popping the rear. It seems the excess material on both panels would come untucked, the front would flap around & both would require re-tucking each time the roof is closed. Is this not the case? Also, there would be lots of times when removing the shade would be desirable. I’m a little concerned about the suction cups since some can really stick. How difficult is it to remove the shade after installation & how hard is it on the shade tugging on it to break the suction?

Just a thought; what would happen if the excess material were trimmed away or would that result in gaposis or, worse yet, the dreaded unfinished appearance?

This seems like a really good accessory, but I don’t want any surprises regarding its use w/ frequent panel openings and/or removals.

I just got a set and am generally pleased. However, it doesn't really seem there's anywhere to "tuck" it tightly. I don't seem to have issues with opening the roof but there's an occasional tiny (1/10 inch) gap where light shines through on the side. Maybe I need to move it over a smidgen.

ZipeeShades Questions

Thanks for your response. Can you please tell me approx. how much "excess material" there is and, if it isn't tucked-in, is it going to look bad or flop around in the wind? How would it be if the excess were trimmed away, would there be a lot of gap between the shade & edge of the panel? Also, I know you've only just received them & have limited experience, but how much of a hassel will it be to remove & install the shades regularly & how much hard wil removal be on the shade itself at the suction cup attachment point(s)?

I had my windows tinted darker and I don't need the shades. If anyone wants to buy them contact me off line.
