Stepping late into the fray...

I have a '10 MCSa, with Sport Package. Before I ordered, I had a chance to drive a '10 MCS w/ sport suspension, but w/out the sport package; 16" wheels. The ride, over LA's "great" streets was less than satisfactory for these old bones. To me, less than optimal trade off; a stiffer ride and $500 more.

My car, w/out the sport susp, but w/ 17 run-flats, is firm, but acceptable.

fwiw, Mini (BMW) probably wanted more money from the sales of the cars, so de-contented what most people order (sport package), without lowering the price. Then charge an additional fee for the higher performance suspension parts.

I went with the Touring setup. I can't imagine the Sport setup - gotta be brutal. The Touring stance is nice, though a bit high in the ***-end, and/or a bit low in the front end. But 1000% better-looking than stock, that's for sure...

"Before" shots on stock suspension:

And "after" .... massive improvement.

Thanks everyone for the input, I've decided to NOT get the "sport suspension" option on my order as it seems far better to go with NM RSa aftermarket for half the price and better results.

Don't they have an option for "sport package", that is what I have (07 Justa).
I bought off the lot though with the one they had. You get better seats.
At least back then.

If I were ordering a new one I would get the sport package again.

The sport package doesn't touch the suspension. IIRC, it's the sport seats, fog lights, stripes, and a roof spoiler. There may be a few other things as well, but nothing in the suspension.

At least, that's for 2011 and 2012 cars. Not sure what the 07 package included.

You're right. Tristan's an 07 and has the sports package and the sport suspension, they were separate option. The sport package included 16" wheels, sport seats, front fogs, spoiler, optional stripes, possibly DSC.
