Yes, surely NCS is the way to enable or disable the sound.
We are searching for the way to modify/change the sound to the new LCI models (modern sound).

I don't think you can change the sound, I have had my car coded, we deleted the sound, changed the my hazard light to flash the Euro way, remote up the windows from the key fob, 1/8 tank of gas light on instead of 1/4...you can do so much but you literally have to learn German cus the car comes coded in all German once you get into it. I would highly suggest leaving it to the pros at dealer if you can make friends with the a tech that knows how not to leave anything stock ! Good luck.

I don't know it can't be done, but yes, I believe it can't be done through coding. I have coding skills and there is nothing to do (all the coding in my car was done by me).

Thanks to some forum users (this forum) and to some weeks of internet researching about it , it seems the sound difference is because there is a different HU (Head Unit).

The only two (2) ways I can see:

a) Change the HU to a new one (mmm, no, thank you)
b) hack the sound file/config on the actual HU (not possible through NCS, surely something related to a writing/modifying the correct chip on the HU)

Now, seeing you mods list:

deleted the (seat belt) sound
delete this warning is not an option for me

hazard light to flash the Euro way
nice! I never do this change because still I don't know if it's legal in my country. But again ... nice! I like the look.

remote up the windows from the key fob
Done some years ago! It is not acceptable that this function is not programmed "YES" from factory. May be there is due a countries law (that said my Mini shop tech The life is easier with this option activated

1/8 tank of gas light on instead of 1/4
That's is not in my papers! If you have any info for the module and the variable to modify this, it would be great for me. I did not know this is possible.

Why entering in panic for fuel if I have stile more than 60 miles to go?. I prefer your choice (panic at 30 miles ).

Thank you very much for this information!

I wish I knew how to code or have someone do it for me. If I don't manage to turn up Gong sounds from my radio (I have no sounds at all on my R55 2008 and I want them) then I suppose you have to code for them?

I can't afford the dealer.

I also want the Windows to go up from the fob.

My 2008 R55 has no Next screen. No GONG setting.
