Am I supposed to have a water temp gauge somewhere?

1st time Mini owner so I'll probably have some stupid questions and this may be one of them.

Is there supposed to be a water/coolant temp gauge somewhere in my display? I've gone through all of the gauges and haven't been able to find a coolant temp anywhere.

Am I looking in the wrong place or do these cars not have them? It's a 2011 convertible, btw.

Nope, no water temp gauge. One of the few shortcomings of our Minis.

Not as standard, although you can add one either through MINI or a 3rd party.

And many other gauges that come standard in other car of this class are also missing. Volt meter, oil temp, oil pressure etc. None of them exist in the MINI except at after market add ons.

Well crap, that's a little disappointing. Not a deal breaker but I'll definitely miss it. My last car had that and also the tire pressure monitor would tell you the actual psi for each tire. Was also a little disappointed to see that the Mini doesn't have that either.

hrmm...how much are they and where can I get one?

BTW, if water temp is something that the car's electronics can provide to an external gauge like that, is it possible that the functionality is already there inside the car and is maybe something that can be enabled using one of the software modifications I've been reading about in the electrical mod forum?

I went with the Garmin GPS. It has a nice display and fit perfect in area below the switches. ECO is the Garmin code word.
