Oh I don't know, the fact that they weight over 4000 lbs? The v8s, assuming this is what he is going to run, run high 14s in the quarter mile, 0-60 in 6.5 sec. They use the 5.7L R/T engine not one in the SRT-8. A RWD auto is going to be a bit easier to launch than a mini...

It might be faster, but it for sure isn't going to be killing anything.

The Michigan police department test the various police cruisers every year if you are interested:

As far as I know they are running the 5.7 R/T. I know they have one camaro but it's a V6, (something to show the kids). Again, I know I'm not any kind of pro, and this is his home track. I guess the whole point of this thread was low to no cost mods you guys have found that help. Sounds like the majority agree, tires and lessons. I am absolutely going to ask to do a few laps in the charger also. I have always believed the driver makes the car. Not the other way around. Hope to be the driver someday.

If you need a excuse, a rear sway bar makes a big difference is cornering. Might want to put one in.

Unfortunately the mini s is still almost 1 sec slower on average 1/4 slips

^really? I would have thought they could have hit sub 15s with the power bumps over the years. Anyway... not trying to internet race, good luck peichor!
