Congrats! That funny pic looks like the car is on fire, cool. So I take it that the right side light in the bumper is the reverse and th left is the rear fog light? Not sure if I like not being able to see one side of the road if its dark and Im reversing down a tight driveway lol. But again excellent choice

The Challenge wheels are very cool. But they are a real pain in the butt to clean. That is why I got Carbotech Bobcat brake pads front and rear. Very little dust. I can go 2 or more weeks without the wheels looking dirty.

Something interesting that I spotted. Your door sills are not from the JCW aero kit. Those are the sills from a factory JCW. Very strange.

See this pic:

And this is the door sill from the JCW aero kit:

It was cool that you took and posted all those pics even though the weather has been horrible the past few days.

Enjoy your new ride!!

I just love it that much! That is strange though, it was factory installed aero kit so that may have something to do with it (I am glad I got that sill instead of the other one, definitely like the factory one way better)

Hah, I'm too lazy to resize but I took most of them down

On another note, finally some beautiful weather, was 90F here yesterday!

So I went for a joyride and took some sunny pics

The last 21 pictures here are new: http://s2.photobucket.com/albums/y16...ketcase/MINII/

Sneak peaks for the lazy ones (hopefully these are smaller)

Sooo after 5,000 miles of motoring in my Cooper S, I'm still mostly in love. A lot of it has to do with attending and racing in my first autocross.

But just a note, things I've had replaced already in my 5,000 miles.

Defective:
-Water Pump (~100 miles)
-Front grill (not installed correctly with JCW aero kit) (~100 miles)
-Passenger side window actuator (~5000 miles)

very nice, except for the defects part. quick question, did your side window actuator just stop working? i feel like my passenger window doesn't roll up nearly as quickly as the drive side...and it squeaks a lot! also, what was the issue with the water pump? that's a bit scary b/c a bad water pump could kill your engine.
i've hardly done anything to my car thus far other than washes and oil changes. 6 months, 9k miles - it's socal, you can't do anything about it. i did have a black alta fmic installed by danny at mini corsa. i don't have a tune yet, so i doubt i'm getting great use out of it. in due time tho. still lovin' the car like you are!

The window actuator pretty much stopped working, it had a **** fit one day, I had the windows down, parked to get food, went to roll them up with the auto up, it went halfway up and then decided it didn't want to go any farther up and came about half the distance it went up down, same thing happened if i tried auto up again. It was starting to rain so luckily I was able to get the windows up by hitting the switch a little bit at a time, but it ended up leaving a small gap that didn't allow water in but there was obviously air while driving.

I'm not sure of the exact issue with the water pump, all I can say is that it was not happy, it was squealing at me at idle IIRC.

I haven't done an oil change yet, although I know I should. And definitely lovin it otherwise, plan on getting the JCW Tune at the end of winter.
