Hello from Michigan! Just bought a '12 Highclass Grey S with a Soda interior. Funky combo, but loving it. Glad to learn it's an unusual color. Any way to find out production numbers with this color?

That looks to be a well kept find and with a little care it should reward you with many miles of smiles. My only suggestion for ensuring the car’s health and longevity is oil changes at no more than 5k miles and keep the oil pan full. Yes, the dipstick is hard to read, but with a little care it is possible.

NAM is full of useful information. The best way to find what you are looking for about build numbers is to do a Google with “North American Motoring” as part of your search criteria. That may get you information about how to find that information.

As for your particular car, it truly looks to be unique, especially with the roof color. I ordered my 2012 S new. While my recollection about the MINI build site has faded a bit, my recollection is that these cars were available with only body color or white roofs (maybe black). Roof colors such as yours were reserved for one-off special edition packages that MINI would offer at times, such as the “Checkmate Edition”. This also goes for the interior your car has. It might be worth checking into whether your car is one of these special editions.

Thanks for the info and the tips! Although the roof looks grey in the photos, it is actually just white and not a unique color. I am curious why there is no "S" logo by the side turn indicator lights and instead there is a pattern that's also on the upper glove box door. Was this some kind of special edition?
