Gearing Question?

I just switched the OEM 190-55-17 tire & wheels on my 2010 "S" (AT) with the 17" wheels & 215-45-17 tires from my 2007 "S" (6-speed). According to TireRack, the deviation in speedo will only be 0.7% and the tire OD by 0.18".

Will this cause any gearing issues? Do I need to have the dealer reflash and or update the ECU to match the changed wheel size? Please advise. Thanks.

That is so small I would not worry about it. But are you sure the stock size is 190/55-17? Stock size 17 is normally 205/45-17 I think.

The tire OD changes by that much or more as the tread wears. Don't worry about that little amount of difference.

Good catch. My error, the OEM was 190/55-16.

Thanks.
