Is it worth paying $120 @ Mini just so i can use the ipod interface?

 

That's really only a question you yourself can answer. There's absolutely no way around the dealer price really. People can sit here and say how much they love this about it, or how much they dislike whatever about. Personally, I installed my own interface, and have yet to have it coded because using the AUX has come so normal to me it doesn't bother me. Everyone has their own preferences though. I will EVENTUALLY get it coded since I spent the two hundred on the interface, but until then... I'm quite content using the AUX cable.
